Sustainability is an integral part of Dutch Blower’s operations.

In recent years, significant steps have been taken to reduce our environmental impact while improving the energy efficiency of both our processes and products.

Our sustainable facility in Almelo

Our company buildings play a central role in this effort. Currently, 360 solar panels are installed on our roofs, allowing us to generate a substantial portion of our own energy. Three years ago, these buildings were also fully upgraded with new roofing and well-insulated walls. This investment not only reduces energy consumption but also contributes to a more comfortable and sustainable working environment.

In terms of installations, we make use of air-to-air heat pumps and energy-efficient machinery. We are also progressing in the area of mobility, with an increasing share of our vehicle fleet consisting of electric cars, further reducing our CO₂ emissions.

Our commitment to sustainable product development

Sustainability is also a key principle in the development of our products. We continuously evaluate the use of sustainable and recyclable materials. A good example is our collaboration with a steel producer focused on manufacturing steel with minimal CO₂ emissions. By consciously sourcing from suppliers who lead in sustainability, we contribute to a cleaner value chain.

Our own products also directly contribute to energy savings for our customers. Thanks to our expertise in air handling technologies, we develop systems that operate significantly more efficiently. For example, well-engineered fan chambers with optimized airflow can result in savings of hundreds of kilowatt-hours per year. We also offer solutions for recovering residual energy from waste streams such as water or steam, ensuring that energy which would otherwise be lost is effectively reused.

These are just a few examples of how Dutch Blower is actively working toward a more sustainable future. By continuously investing in technology, materials, and processes, we strive to reduce our ecological footprint and help our customers do the same.
